From 12 locations in three states, Independence Construction Materials produces and supplies the highest quality aggregate and asphalt products in the region. Approved by Highway Departments and/or Departments of Transportation in five states, our aggregates cover the stone spectrum, from sand and gravel to crushed stone to oversized rock for special applications.
We mine from granite/gneiss, dolomite and limestone quarries. Our asphalt production facilities are consistent award winners for quality and safety, and the asphalt products they supply meet or exceed the toughest specifications. These products are also DOT-approved.
Quality control and testing is done at our own lab, which is so technically advanced that other producers and users also use it for the collection of accurate quality and compliance data.
ICM asphalt is produced to meet the needs of a range of customers, as well as meet and exceed various regional DOT requirements when called for.
ICM has several asphalt plants in conjunction with our quarries, as well as stand alone plants in PA, Maryland, and Delaware to help us service projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.
All company asphalt production facilities are consistent award winners for quality and safety, and the asphalt products they supply meet or exceed the strictest specifications. Three of our labs (Aberdeen, Jessup, and Dover) are AMRL certified. The FAA requires AMRL lab certification in order to supply asphalt on any FAA project. ICM laboratory equipment and procedures are constantly updated to yield the fastest, most current and most accurate data in the industry. Our highly trained lab personnel can create the right mix design for your project, and you can rest assured that a mix from an ICM plant will meet your expectations with ease.
We have supplied asphalt to many types of projects of all sizes, including highway projects, residential and commerical sites, race tracks, and even federal projects like the Dover Air Force Base.
